HOW THE TOP 10 FARED — OCT. 23

1. COEUR D’ALENE, 7-0 (5A) beat No. 9 Post Falls, 30-14

Post Falls struck first on a special teams touchdown, but even inclement weather can’t stop still-rolling No. 1 Coeur d’Alene.

2. ROCKY MOUNTAIN, 6-0 (5A) beat Capital, 49-13

Grizzlies win 5A Southern Idaho Conference for the third year in a row.

3. RIGBY, 8-0 (5A) beat Madison, 56-6

The Trojans are league champs, hold a playoff bye and finished the regular season strong.

4. EAGLE, 5-1 (5A) beat Centennial, 58-6

Eagle trounced Centennial for the second week in a row in the 5A SIC crossover.

5. HIGHLAND, 7-2 (5A) beat Idaho Falls, 61-19

Rams bounce back from a loss to Rigby by racing past Idaho Falls, amassing more than 40 points by the second quarter.

6. CAPITAL, 4-1 (5A) lost to No. 2 Rocky Mountain, 49-13

The Eagles have scaraped with Rocky in the past, but the Grizzlies got ahead early and didn’

7. SKYLINE, 8-1 (4A) beat Shelley, 44-7

Grizzlies clinch overall No. 1 seed to 4A tournament after taking care of business.

8. BISHOP KELLY, 6-1 (4A) beat Ridgevue, 54-7

Knights took care of business against Ridgue. Now they need Vallivue to beat Emmett to win a 4A SIC title.

9. POST FALLS, 5-3 (5A) lost to No. 1 Coeur d’Alene, 30-14

The Trojans played them closer than the first go, and they’ll still host a playoff game — both key takeaways from the 5A IEL runners-up.

10. MERIDIAN, 5-2 (5A) beat Borah, 33-0

They’ve shown they can hand with the best, and the Warriors took care of business when they needed to Friday night.
