Top stars, best performances in Week 5 of Georgia high school football

Here are some stars from Friday night’s games across Georgia.

Rontravious Perry, Newton RB

Perry rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a 39-21 win over McEachern.

Dorian Graham, Sandy Creek RB

Graham rushed for three touchdowns on three consecutive drives in a 44-14 win over Westminster. 

Jace Arnold, Marietta CB

Arnold returned a kick 95 yards for a touchdown to help Marietta beat Parkview.

Ethan Nation, Roswell ATH

Nation recorded two receiving touchdowns and one punt return touchdown vs. Campbell.

Keyjuan Brown, South Atlanta RB

Brown rushed for 267 yards in a thrilling South Atlanta win over Lovett.

Jacob Nelson, Denmark QB

Nelson threw a 74-yard game-winning touchdown pass against North Forsyth. 

Tyler Hughes, Marietta QB

Hughes was 13-of-19 with 241 passing yards and four touchdowns vs. Parkview.

Sam Horn, Collins Hill QB

Horn threw three touchdowns in the first quarter and added another in the third vs. Alpharetta. 

Nathan Vail, Harrison S

Vail returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown in a loss to Grayson. 

Naim Cheeks, Gainesville RB

Cheeks rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Forsyth Central.

Mason Snyder, Irwin ATH

Snyder hauled in just three catches vs. Tift County but he made them count, finishing with 89 yards and a touchdown in a 16-14 loss. 

Jelani Miller LB and Treston Jordan S, Denmark

Miller and Jordan recorded pick-sixes on consecutive second-quarter drives vs. North Forsyth. 

Boone Anderson, North Paulding QB

Anderson threw three touchdown passes, one coming in the fourth quarter to secure a 35-33 win over Brookwood. 

Zach Carter, Tift County RB

Carter had 22 carries for 182 yards and two touchdowns in a 16-14 win over Irwin. 

Zach Harris, Cambridge QB

Harris threw a 22-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to put up the only points of the game in a 7-0 win over Creekview, Cambridge’s first win over Creekview in school history. 

MJ Morris, Carrollton QB

Morris went 16-of-19 for 255 yards passing and a school-record six touchdowns while rushing for another score vs. Dalton. 

Amehre Morrison, River Ridge RB

Morrison rushed for three touchdowns, all in the first quarter, against Chattahoochee. 

Tommy Castellanos, Ware County QB

Castellanos threw four touchdown passes and rushed for another score vs. Bainbridge. 

Amari White, Cartersville RB

White rushed for all three of Cartersville’s touchdowns in a 24-14 win over Cherokee.

Christian Lewis, Calhoun QB

Lewis threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two in the blowout win over Woodstock.
