SAMMAMISH - Mercer Island's Griffin Emanuels led all scorers with 18 points as the Islanders beat Sammamish 75-48 in a game at Sammamish."

Emanuels' points came on 5 field goals and 8 of 8 free throws during the game.

Sammamish was led by Jared Jackson's 20 points and Max Donaldson added 8. Sammamish fell to 0-1 overall while Mercer Island improved their record to 2-1.

Sammamish's next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 27 at 8:34pm versus Interlake Senior. Mercer Island will travel to BHS on Friday Jan. 13 at 8:30pm to play Bellevue.
