FHSAA 1A football state championship preview: Madison County vs. Hawthorne

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The smaller classifications take center stage on Saturday night as the Madison County Cowboys (10-3) take on the Hawthorne Hornets (10-0) in the FHSAA Class 1A football state championship at Gene Cox Stadium.

The Cowboys enter the game on an eight-game winning streak. The Hornets are the only remaining unbeaten team in Class 1A, as their defense has allowed just 8.8 points per game through the entire season.
