Here are the candidates for the Scorebook Live Southern California boys basketball player of the week for Feb. 24-March 1 as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Players from the Southern, LA City and San Diego Sections are considered. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Jalen Harris, Windward: Harris finished with 20 points for Windward in their 54-49 win over Riverside Poly.

Jurian Dixon, San Ysidro: Dixon poured in 32 points and pulled won 21 board in San Ysidro’s 71-59 victory against Coronado.

AJ Burgin, San Diego: Burgin’s 31-point, 18-rebound double-double helped San Diego High School defeat University City.

Martin Gumwel, Calvin Christian: Gumwel poured in 18 points to go along with 21 boards and 4 blocks for Calvin Christian in their loss to Classical Academy.



Ziaire Williams, Sierra Canyon: Williams’ 23 points helped Sierra Canyon to a 59-48 win over Mater Dei.

Kasen Dickerson, University City: Dickerson put up 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals for University City in their matchup with San Diego.

Sam Dudley, Santa Fe Christian: Dudley netted 23 points for Santa Fe Christian as they defeated San Marcos.
