Mater Dei point guard Devin Askew signed his National Letter of Intent with Kentucky last week, which officially reclassified him to the 2020 class. Askew had been in the 2021 class. He will now have only played three years at Mater Dei before joining the Wildcats in the summer.
Askew is the 18th rated high school player in the 2020 class, per 247Sports.com. Mater Dei is the second rated team in Scorebook Live California’s preseason basketball rankings. Askew and Mater Dei begin their season on November 30th at home against San Marcos.
