SANTA ANA - Mater Dei High School quarterback Elijah Brown had 119 passing yards to lead the Mater Dei Monarchs to a 17-7 win over the St. John Bosco Braves on Friday night at Santa Ana in a high school football game.

The Monarchs also received helpful efforts from running back Jordan Davison who rushed 23 times for 119 yards and 1 touchdown and athlete Nathaniel Frazier who rushed 8 times for 50 yards.

St. John Bosco's quarterback Pierce Clarkson threw for 56 yards, running back Cameron Jones picked up 109 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and cornerback Jahlil McClain had 48 receiving yards.

The win helps Mater Dei improve to 7-0 on the season while St. John Bosco falls to 6-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
