Bonita Vista forward Madison Canon voted Southern California girls basketball player of the week

Congratulations to Bonita Vista forward Madison Canon for being voted Scorebook Live’s Southern California girls basketball player of the week!

Canon scored an impressive 20 points to help lead Bonita Vista to a 68-53 victory over Bishops.

Canon received 45.39% of the vote, beating out Oaks Christian guard Taylor Donaldson who finished with  25.71%. Dominguez guard Anysa Baker finished third with 18.85% and Lynwood guard Cheyanne Whitfield finished fourth with 8.8%

Emma Konsmo, Horizon Prep: Konsmo had 21 points, 18 rebounds, 20 blocks in Horizon Prep’s 49-23 road win over Monarch Academy. 

Cheyanne Whitfield, Lynwood: Whitfield scored an impressive 32 points in Lynwoods’ 80-71 victory over Bishop Montgomery. 

Jayda Curry, Corona Centennial: Curry led the way for Corona Centennial with 22 points in their 66-44 win over Marlborough. 

Taylor Donaldson, Oaks Christian: Donaldson scored 28 points to help lead Oaks Christian to a 52-50 win over Viewpoint.

Anysa Baker, Dominguez High School: Baker scored 19 points for Dominguez in the Hawks Holiday Classic.
