Alex Smith, Reggie Bush headline San Diego Section high school football players taken in NFL Draft since 2000

The San Diego Section has produced a ton of NFL talent over the past 20 years.

Since the 2000 NFL Draft, 34 schools in the Section have had at least one player drafted. Helix and La Costa Canyon lead the way with five draft picks each during that time. And five players have been drafted in the first round, with Helix stars Alex Smith (No. 1 overall in 2005) and Reggie Bush (No. 2 overall in 2006) leading the way.

Here’s a complete list of San Diego Section high school football players selected in the NFL Draft over the past 20 years. The list is in alphabetical order by school.
