Top stars, best performances in the 13th week of Northern California high school football (Nov. 11-13)

As of last week, the 13th week of California high school football, all of NorCal is now in the playoffs. And the stars shined as much as ever under the brighter lights.

As the first week of games each season is known as “Week Zero”, the weekend of Nov. 11-13 was officially Week 12 in California high school football. Here’s a quick look at some of the top stars and individual performances from Week 12 throughout NorCal.


Kemauri Glenn, Wilcox RB/CB: Glenn ran for 251 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries and grabbed a pick to lead Wilcox over Santa Cruz 42-23.

Elijah Goss, Enterprise WR/DB: Goss led the Hornets with two touchdown catches, eight tackles (tied), five tackles for loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble (tied) in a 60-0 blowout of Las Plumas.

Jahari Johnson, Enterprise WR/DB: Johnson caught for a touchdown, ran for a two-point conversion, recorded an interception, and took a punt return 62 yards to the house.

Manuel Lopez, Pierce (Arbuckle) RB: Lopez ran for 176 yards, three touchdowns, and a pair of two-point conversions as the Bears flattened Colusa 42-0.

Sergio Beltran, Menlo School QB: Beltran threw for 220 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for 147 yards to lead the Knights over Half Moon Bay 47-28.

Nicholas Coronado, Kimball QB: Coronado completed 19 of 21 passes for 414 yards and five touchdowns, and ran four times for 45 yards to help lead the Jaguars to a 44-32 win against Wood. Mason Rivera and Willie Clifton were his top targets.

Mark Eby, Leland RB/LB: Eby ran for 160 yards and a touchdown, caught for 81 yards and a touchdown, and made seven tackles to lead the Chargers over Scotts Valley 27-9.

Brenden Bush, Clayton Valley Charter QB: Bush completed eight of nine passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 41 yards and two TDs to lead Clayton Valley over Antioch 42-21. Rahsaan Woodland ran for 112 yards and a TD for the Ugly Eagles.

Trevor Rund, California RB: Rund erupted for career-highs of 247 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries to lead the Grizzlies over Monte Vista 48-21.

Jack Quigley, San Ramon Valley QB: Quigley completed 11 of 14 passes for three touchdowns and 156 yards, and ran four times for 34 yards and a TD in a 35-7 win against Dublin.

Robbie Mascheroni, Campolindo WR: Mascheroni caught for 228 yards and two touchdowns to lead Campo over Dublin 38-28. QB Dashiell Weaver finished with 327 yards and three touchdowns passing.

Nick Walsh, Foothill (Pleasanton) QB: Walsh threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns on 14-20 completion to lead the Falcons over San Leandro 39-13.

Viliami Teu, Saint Francis (Mountain View) RB: Teu ran for 257 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Lancers over Aptos 56-28.

Matt MacLeod, Menlo-Atherton QB: MacLeod completed 24 of 32 passes for 390 yards and four touchdowns to lead M-A over Salinas 35-31. Jeremiah Earby was his top target.

Dane Fifita, Menlo-Atherton RB: Fifita ran for 113 yards and a touchdown and caught for 105 yards and a TD.

Jalen Moss, Menlo-Atherton CB/WR: Moss registered two interceptions and caught for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Sai Vadrawale, Rancho Cotate WR/DB: Vadrawale caught for 113 yards, grabbed two interceptions, and ran for a touchdown in a 37-0 rout of Granada.

Max Warkentin, Kingsburg QB: Warkentin threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Vikings over Mission Oak 32-26.

Kenyan Simpson, Kingsburg DB: Simpson had two interceptions.

Chase Vehmeyer, Windsor QB: Vehmeyer threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 50 yards and a touchdown in a 35-17 victory over Northgate.

Hayden Anderson, Windsor WR: Anderson had 13 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown.

Damian Escarcega, Windsor RB/LB: Escarcega totaled 90 yards of offense and two rushing touchdowns, and recorded an interception.

Dante Antonini, St. Vincent de Paul WR/LB: In a 57-0 demolition of St. Patrick-St. Vincent, Antonini turned one carry and three receptions into a 52-yard rushing touchdown and 86 yards and two touchdowns receiving. He also led the Mustangs with nine tackles, five tackles for loss, and one sack (tied).

Dominique Lampkin, Serra (San Mateo) QB: Lampkin threw four touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown to lead the Padres over Valley Christian 41-30.

Janari Boone, Benicia RB/LB: Boone ran for two touchdowns and had an interception in a 43-20 win over Casa Grande.

Khalani Sandoval, Benicia RB: Sandoval rushed for two touchdowns and 125 yards on just seven carries.

Dayton Tafoya, Central (Fresno) QB: Tafoya threw for 216 yards and five touchdowns in a 62-12 rout of Hanford.

Jesiah Lindsay, Central (Fresno) RB: Lindsay ran for 216 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries.

Sebastian Chen, Tamalpais RB: Chen ran for 153 yards and a touchdown in a 27-21 win against Petaluma. Nick Shottenfeld threw for 242 yards as well.

Christian Son, Tamalpais RB/LB: Son turned just three carries into three touchdowns and 28 yards, and also made seven tackles (one for loss).

Santino Acevedo, Cardinal Newman LB/RB: Acevedo helped lead the Cardinals to a 56-6 blowout of Newark Memorial with six carries for 71 yards and two touchdowns, 44 receiving yards, a pick-six, and four tackles.

Salesi Moala, Tennyson RB/LB: In a 65-7 annihilation of Vallejo, Moala ran for 203 yards and four touchdowns in the first half alone.

Demarte Prudhomme, St. Bernard’s WR/LB: Prudhomme helped lead the Crusaders over De Anza 14-7 with a 92-yard kick return, 39 yards of total offense, a rushing two-point conversion, four tackles, and a blocked punt.

Luke Duncan, Miramonte QB/P: Duncan threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns to help lead the Matadors to a 42-23 win over Encinal. He also averaged 43 yards a punt on three punts.

Tyler Dutto, Miramonte WR: Dutto caught for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Cooper Bohlig, Miramonte WR/FS: Bohlig caught for 69 yards and snagged two picks he returned for a total of 115 yards and a touchdown. Sam Ross and Chase Bliss also had big performances for Miramonte.

Brandon Ramirez, San Joaquin Memorial RB/SS: Ramirez made 16 tackles and ran for 95 yards and a touchdown in a 35-10 victory against Garces Memorial.

Carson Tucker, Arcata WR: Tucker caught four touchdowns from Alex Jioras in a 44-0 rout of San Lorenzo.

Caden Parlett, Justin-Siena RB: Parlett ran for 130 yards and a touchdown in a 31-13 victory against Saint Mary’s (Albany).

Clayton Crean, St. Helena RB: Crean helped lead the Saints to a 48-6 rout of McKinleyville with 124 yards and two touchdowns rushing and a 95-yard kickoff return touchdown.

Jadon Meyer, St. Helena LB/OL: Meyer recorded 13 tackles and a pick-six.

Jaeden Moore, Central Valley Christian WR/DB: Moore caught for 128 yards and two touchdowns from Max Bakker and made nine tackles and 1.5 sacks in a 35-20 victory versus Firebaugh.

Ali Collier, Monterey Trail RB: Collier ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Mustangs to a 35-24 upset of Granite Bay.

Tanaki Tonga, Monterey Trail LB: Tonga racked up a staggering 22 tackles.

Sebastian Olivera, Dinuba RB: Olivera ran for 133 yards and a touchdown in a 28-24 win against Paso Robles.

Jacob Silva, Mendota RB/FS: Silva led the Aztecs with 153 yards and two touchdowns rushing and nine tackles (one for loss), and caught for 75 yards and a touchdown in a 42-21 win over Foothill (Bakersfield).

Dominic Castaneda, Liberty (Madera) SS/RB: Castaneda ran for 114 yards, caught for 42 yards, and grabbed two interceptions in a 14-0 win over Immanuel.

Mitchell Whaley, Liberty (Madera) LB/RB: Whaley ran for 76 yards and two touchdowns, and was tied atop the team leaderboard with 10 tackles, two TFLs, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

Hector I. Rodriguez, Woodlake RB/LB: Rodriguez ran for 160 yards and a touchdown and recovered a fumble in a 28-14 win against Delano.

Spencer Gorgulho, Christopher QB: Gorgulho threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns to lift the Cougars over Palo Alto 28-27.

Will Rizqallah, Christopher LB: Rizqallah made two interceptions which he returned 66 total yards.

Derek Sheerer, Homestead RB/DB: Sheerer ran for 60 yards and a touchdown, made seven tackles, and recorded a pick-six to lead the Mustangs over Milpitas 14-0.

Jayden Arevalo, Santa Teresa QB: Arevalo threw for 194 yards and four touchdowns on 17-23 completion in a 45-42 win over Pioneer (San Jose). Kai Matthews and Jeffrey Kerr were his top targets.

Johrdan Garibay, St. Francis (Watsonville) RB/LB: Garibay ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns, and made five tackles (one for loss) in a 38-13 win against Cupertino.

Slade Wilson, Folsom DB: Wilson recorded a trio of interceptions in a 38-14 win over Lincoln (Stockton).

Julian Lopez, Central Catholic RB/DE: Lopez ran for 183 yards and two touchdowns, and made a sack to help lead the Raiders over Lodi 38-34.

Da’Marion Williams, Antelope WR: Williams recorded career-highs of five catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns from Jasiah Bateman in a 20-14 win over Whitney.

Ethan Archuletta, Elk Grove QB: Archuletta ran for a career-high 242 yards and three touchdowns to lift The Thundering Herd over Vacaville 52-48.

Tyler Crockett, Mariposa County LB: Crockett made 15 tackles (one for loss) and forced a fumble in a 7-6 win against Vacaville Christian.

Javier Huizar, Patterson WR: Huizar caught for 110 yards and two touchdowns in a 52-48 win over Yuba City.

Blake Nichelson, Manteca RB: Nichelson ran for 204 yards and four touchdowns on just 15 carries in a 54-14 rout of Sacramento High.

Ryan Henning, Lincoln (Lincoln) RB: Henning ran for 217 yards and a touchdown and caught for 36 yards to lead the Fighting Zebras over Christian Brothers 28-21.

Ryker Peters, Escalon RB: Peters ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns on just 13 carries in a 39-12 win against Woodland.

Rocklin Baptista, Livingston QB: Baptista threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-20 victory against Waterford.

Carlos Baez, Livingston RB: Baez ran just seven times for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Jairo Hernandez, Livingston LB: Hernandez amassed 19 tackles.

Mateo Flores, Argonaut RB/DB: Flores ran just 10 times for 173 yards and three touchdowns and added seven tackles and an interception in a 34-10 win against Liberty Ranch.

Kyle Campbell, Casa Roble LB: Campbell went off for 23 tackles (two for loss) and blocked a field goal to help lead the Rams over Union Mine 35-33.
