THIS WEEK’S AMERICA’S TIRE NORCAL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Camila Dofiles, James Logan volleyball: Dofiles had 27 assists, 7 digs, 4 kills and 3 aces in a 3-1 win over Mission San Jose on Oct. 5.

Maddy White, Dixon volleyball: White had 17 digs, 16 kills and 4 aces in a 3-1 win over Mira Loma on Oct. 5.

Delaney Sparks, Rocklin volleyball: Sparks had 14 kills, 12 digs and 36 serve receptions in Rocklin’s 3-2 win over Folsom on Oct. 6.

Eliza Hakes, Folsom volleyball: Hakes had 22 kills, 15 digs and 16 serve receptions in a 3-2 loss to Rocklin on Oct. 6.

Viliami Teu, Saint Francis (Mountain View) RB: Teu rushed for 284 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Mariners over Valley Christian 41-27.

Nick Walsh, Foothill (Pleasanton) QB: Walsh went off for six touchdown passes and 236 yards on 21-26 completion in a 45-7 rout of Dougherty Valley. Kenny Olson had three touchdown catches.

Curron Borders, Antelope RB: Borders continued his incredible junior season with 321 yards, three touchdowns, and a two-point conversion rushing to lift Antelope over Woodcreek 28-21.

Matt McLeod, Menlo-Atherton QB: McLeod lifted the Bears to a 47-46 win against Half Moon Bay by completing 24 of 28 passes for 364 yards and three touchdowns, and running for 38 yards and another TD.

Jalen Moss, Menlo-Atherton WR/DB: Moss caught for two touchdowns and 117 yards, and also grabbed an interception.

Kai Hall, St. Vincent de Paul RB: Hall ran for 218 yards and three touchdowns, and also a scored a 74-yard punt return touchdown, in a 62-0 blowout of Piner.

Chase Vehmeyer, Windsor QB: Vehmeyer was essentially perfect in a 56-7 demolition of Maria Carrillo, completing all 15 of his passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns.

Makhi Johnson, Windsor WR: Johnson caught for 197 yards and three touchdowns for the Jaguars.

Anthony Tarnatore, Bradshaw Christian RB: Tarnatore ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and caught for 58 yards and another TD in a 42-6 rout of Liberty Ranch.

Jack Quigley, San Ramon Valley QB: Quigley helped lead the Wolves over Amador Valley 41-13 with 193 yards and four touchdowns passing on an amazing 15-16 completion.

Brandon Ramirez, San Joaquin Memorial RB/SS: Ramirez ran for 199 yards and all three of the Panthers’ touchdowns in a 24-17 win against Bullard. He was also second on SJM with eight tackles.

Carlos Moreno, Strathmore RB: Moreno ran for three touchdowns and over 100 yards in a 44-7 rout of Sierra Pacific.

Frank Payne, Las Lomas RB: Payne ran for 200 yards and two scores to help lead the Knights over Acalanes 35-34.

Jaden Rashada, Pittsburg QB: Rashada completed 21 of 30 passes for five touchdowns and 363 yards in a 49-14 win against Heritage.

Casimiro Barragan, Dinuba QB: In a 60-14 win against Selma, Barragan threw for three touchdowns and 208 yards on just seven pass attempts – of which he completed six.

Sebastian Olivera, Dinuba RB: Olivera ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and also had a 68-yard touchdown catch.

Brandon Graydon, Roseville RB/LB: Graydon helped lead the Tigers to a 51-28 win over Stagg with 159 yards and three touchdowns rushing plus an interception.

Caleb Friebel, University Prep (Redding) RB: Friebel ran for 198 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-0 trouncing of Anderson.

Kai Preisendorf, Redwood (Visalia) DE: Preisendorf totaled four sacks and a blocked punt in a 41-0 blowout of Golden West.

David Jones, Downey (Modesto) CB: Jones racked up three interceptions (returned for 82 total yards) and two more passes defensed in a 38-14 win over Turlock.

Noah Noyola, Hanford WR/SS: Noyola registered 94 receiving yards, three touchdowns and 35 yards rushing, and a team-high 10 tackles (one for loss) in a 57-29 win against Clovis West.

Andrew Moench, Lemoore RB: In his season debut, Moench helped lead the Tigers to a 34-30 win against El Diamante with 157 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

Justin Skeslien, Orland DE: Skeslien helped lead Orland over Lassen 33-28 with team-highs of 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, and a blocked punt.

Nate Bell, Liberty (Brentwood) QB: Bell threw three touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown in a 63-0 annihilation of Deer Valley.

Jakob Hollingshaus, Vista del Lago QB: In not even three quarters of action, Hollinghaus threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns on a perfect 14-14 completion.

Dylan Smith, Vintage RB: Smith ran for 228 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-12 win against American Canyon.

Royce Knoch, Foothill (Palo Cedro) LB/WR: Knoch recorded 10 tackles, two TFLs, a sack, a forced fumble and fumble recovery, and a touchdown catch in a 43-10 victory over Shasta.

Kaize Steverson, Cardinal Newman RB/LB: Steverson helped lead the Cardinals to a 41-16 win against Ukiah with 48 yards and a touchdown rushing, plus five tackles (one for loss), a sack, an interception, and a forced fumble.

Johnny Bauser, Lincoln (Lincoln) QB: Bauser threw for 310 yards and five touchdowns on 10-18 completion in a 45-0 trouncing of Oakmont.

Emiliano Mejia, Los Gatos RB: Mejia ran for 138 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-0 rout of Homestead.

Giovanni Jorlen, Inderkum RB: Jorlen ran for 126 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries in a 50-26 win against River Valley.

Ryan Vaughan, Vacaville QB: Vaughan completed seven of nine passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns, and ran just four times for 110 yards and a tub in a 49-0 blowout of Armijo.

Corie Radcliffe, Sacramento LB: Radcliffe led the Dragons with 10 tackles and made an interception in a 27-25 win against El Camino.

Jake Elorduy, Christian Brothers QB: Elorduy completed 15 of 23 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-12 rout of McNair.

Phillip Bell, Christian Brothers WR: Bell led the Falcons with 174 yards and two touchdowns receiving.

Joe Repass, Union Mine WR/K: Repass caught for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and went 3/3 on PATs in a 29-8 win versus Rosemont.

Josiah Machado, Sheldon QB: Machado threw for four touchdowns and 198 yards on a whopping 10-11 completion in a 56-7 rout of Davis. He also ran for a touchdown.

Ethan Day, Ripon DE: Day recorded 12 tackles (one for loss), four QB-hurries, and a forced fumble in a 20-7 win against Livingston.

Jayjay Olaes, Wood RB: Olaes ran for 193 yards and three touchdowns to lift Wood over Rodriguez 33-25.

Anthony Garcia, Capital Christian QB: Garcia completed eight of 15 passes for 275 yards and five touchdowns, and ran for 63 yards in a 47-28 win against Del Campo. Kanye Clark was his top target.

Zeke Burnett, Elk Grove RB: Burnett ran for 117 yards and five touchdowns on just eight carries in a 59-0 demolition of Pleasant Grove.

Chris Dodson, Elk Grove DB: Dodson grabbed two picks for the Thundering Herd.

Cole Owens, Casa Roble WR/DB: Owens had 140 total yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in just one half in Casa Roble’s win over Mira Loma.
