Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 20-26 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. MacKenzie Parsons, Poway girls volleyball: Parsons had 15 kills and four digs in a straight-set victory over Ramona on Sept. 23.

Tatiana Skipps, Carson girls volleyball: Skipps totaled 38 assists, 18 aces, 10 digs and 3 kills in straight-set victories over Narbonne and Gardena.

Kendall Taylor, South Pasadena girls volleyball: Taylor had 25 assists, 5 digs and 2 aces in a straight-set victory over San Marino.

Daniel Anoh, Palisades RB: Anoh ran for 292 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday’s win over Brentwood.

Gavin Galzote, Vista Murrieta RB: Galzote ran for 289 yards and a touchdown against Villa Park.

Xavier Spann, Mountain View RB: Spann ran for 206 yards and three touchdowns in Thursday’s win over Azusa.

Marcus Arthur, Simi Valley RB/DB: Arthur had a six-yard rushing touchdown and returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown against Pacifica.

Chris Melkonian, Crescenta Valley WR/DB: Melkonian caught two touchdowns on offense and grabbed two interceptions on defense including one that he returned for a touchdown.

Isaiah Sepand, Campbell Hall QB: Sepand passed for 288 yards and had five touchdowns against Heritage Christian.

Nova Kebeli, Portola RB: Kebeli carried early and often against Northwood on Friday, finishing with 260 yards and three touchdowns.

Carson Hollandsworth, South (Torrance) RB/DB: Hollandsworth rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns, caught five passes for 152 yards and a touchdown and also returned an interception 87 yards for a touchdown.

Jake East, Agoura WR: East caught eight passes for 194 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s win over Calabasas.

Nick Meza, La Serna WR/DB: Meza caught four passes for 62 yards and also had three interceptions in Friday’s win over Culver City.

Anthony Chessani, Fillmore RB/DB: Chessani rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns, caught a touchdown, and returned an interception for a touchdown in Friday’s win vs. Santa Maria.

Richard Vega, Santa Paula WR/DB: Vega rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown, caught a touchdown, and returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown against Rancho Christian on Friday.

Max Garrison, St. Francis RB: Garrison rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries Friday to help the Golden Knights take down Los Altos.

Elijah Mitchell, El Rancho QB: Mitchell passed for 309 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Dons over Norwalk Friday.

Hunter Benton, Kennedy WR/DB: Benton caught four passes for 85 yards and three touchdowns on Friday night and also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Josh Vivonia, El Toro WR/DB: Vivonia caught a touchdown against Tesoro on Friday and also grabbed three interceptions on defense.

Anthony Woods, Palmdale ATH: Woods had nine tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in Friday’s shutout of Antelope Valley.

Omar Black, Dana Hills WR: Black caught three passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns and also returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown.

AC Ray, Lone Pine QB: Ray was efficient on Friday night, passing for 189 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 194 yards and two more touchdowns.

Roderick Robinson, Lincoln RB: Robinson ran for 164 yards and three touchdowns while averaging over ten yards per carry on Friday.

Makai Smith, La Jolla WR/DB: Smith had 193 all-purpose yards on Friday, rushing for a touchdown and returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

Jayden Virgin, Mt. Carmel LB/TE: Virgin had five tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery for a touchdown, and a rushing touchdown in Friday’s shutout win over Rancho Buena Vista.

Chris White, Francis Parker WR/DB: White had 262 all-purpose yards against Marantha Christian, scoring on a touchdown reception, interception return, and kickoff return.
