Kaitlyn Cabral, University Prep volleyball
Cabral had 17 kills and 12 digs in a 2-1 loss to Oak Ridge on Saturday, Aug. 21
Franchesca Martins, Orland volleyball
Martins tallied 15 kills in a 3-1 win over Winters.
Kennison Cota, Gridley volleyball
Cota, a junior, had 19 digs and 10 kills in a 3-2 loss to Pierce.
Tyler Tremain, Folsom QB
In a 54-14 rout of Monterey Trail, Tremain completed 14 of 21 passes for 188 yards and five touchdowns, and had 10 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Josh Tremain, Folsom LB/K
Tremain had a team-high 12 tackles (tied) and forced a fumble.
Gabe Baker, Nevada Union QB/ILB
Baker had an incredible all-around game to lead the Miners to a 44-33 win against Bella Vista. On offense, he threw for 284 yards and five touchdowns, ran for 73 yards and another TD on just eight carries, and even had a catch for a two-point conversion. He also registered two interceptions and 12 tackles including a team-high two TFLs, and had three punts for an average of 33 yards each.
Kenny Lueth, Rocklin QB
Lueth led the Thunder to a 41-0 blowout win against Turlock with four touchdown passes and 196 yards on 11-16 completion. He also ran for a touchdown.
Kaleb Larson, Rocklin DE/FB
Larson led Rocklin with seven tackles (tied), four tackles for loss, and a sack (tied), and also broke up a pass.
Zan Dosty, Edison (Stockton) WR/S
In the rivalry battle against Lincoln for supremacy as Stockton’s top public school team, Dosty scored touchdowns via reception and punt return to lead the Vikings to a 26-7 win.
DJ Crowther, Christian Brothers RB
In a 52-0 demolition of Burbank, Crowther ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns, and also had a 25-yard kick return.
Jake Elorduy, Christian Brothers QB
Elorduy only attempted 10 passes, but he completed eight of them for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for a touchdown.
Reese Catchings, Oak Ridge RB
Catchings ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns and added 53 receiving yards in a 42-0 statement win against Cosumnes Oaks.
Darian Leon-Guerrero, Vacaville RB
Leon-Guerrero ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-8 rout of Davis.
Derek Taylor, Hilmar WR/OLB
Taylor had five catches for 117 yards and three touchdowns, five tackles, a sack, and a 45-yard kick return in a 27-20 victory against Patterson.
Tristan Risley, Clovis RB
Risley ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns and added a 26-yard catch in a 35-12 win against Sanger.
Jason Lindahl, Casa Roble QB
In a 40-33 thriller against Placer, Linahl erupted for 308 yards and three touchdowns passing on 17-25 completion plus 116 yards and another TD on the ground.
Cole Owens, Casa Roble WR
Owens caught for 189 yards and a touchdown, and finished with over 200 yards of total offense.
Lavelle Davis Jr., Placer RB/LB
Placer didn’t quite pull out the win, but Davis ran for 176 yards and four touchdowns, and also made five tackles.
Dayton Tafoya, Central Fresno QB
Tafoya threw for 304 yards and five touchdowns and added 81 rushing yards in a 51-32 win against Bullard.
Logan Bowers, Garces Memorial LB/RB
Bowers was dominant on both ends to lead the Rams to a 28-7 win over Clovis West. He led the team with 13 tackles, six tackles for loss, and three sacks, and also ran for 141 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries.
Jesiah Machado, Sheldon QB
Machado threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns on 18-25 completion in a 49-14 victory over River Valley. He also had two carries for 31 yards.
Scott Nixon, Sheldon WR/LB/P
Nixon caught for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and also recorded 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, and a pass break-up on defense.
Isaiah Bickham, Sheldon RB
Bickham added 153 yards and two touchdowns rushing, plus 41 receiving yards.
Caleb Hilton, Waterford QB/RB/S
In a 44-14 win against Stone Ridge Christian, Hilton completed eight of nine passes for 122 yards, ran for three touchdowns and 77 yards, and also caught for a TD, and he made five tackles.
Aaron Adams, Waterford QB/S
Splitting reps at QB with Hilton, Adams completed eight of 12 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for 91 yards, a touchdown, and a two-point conversion. Additionally, he made an interception on defense.
Michael Cherry, Rosemont RB/FS
Cherry helped lead the Wolverines to a 23-8 win against Cordova with an interception and 110 rushing yards.
Wayshawn Parker, Rosemont RB/MLB
Parker had a pick-six, 67 yards and a touchdown rushing, and a team-high (tied) seven tackles.
Adam Lovato, Pioneer WR/SS
Lovato led the Patriots to a 39-0 rout of Wood with three touchdown catches for 128 yards, plus an interception, five tackles, a blocked punt, and a fumble recovery.
Nicholas Coronado, Kimball QB
Coronado threw for 362 yards and three TDs on 24-34 completion and added six carries for 31 yards and a touchdown in a 42-27 win against Tracy.
Ayden Lopez, Mariposa County RB
Lopez ran for 198 yards and a touchdown and accounted for over 250 all-purpose yards in a 43-28 victory over Franklin.
Ryan Graydon, Roseville QB
Graydon completed 14 of 18 passes for 256 yards and three TDs in a 42-7 rout against Oakmont.
Brandon Graydon, Roseville RB/LB
Graydon ran the ball 14 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns, and also had 34 receiving yards, four tackles, and a tackle for loss.
Blake Nichelson, Manteca RB
Nichelson ran for 155 yards, three touchdowns, and three two-point conversions on just 10 carries in a 46-14 win over Downey. Lyon Colon also had a big night running the ball for the Buffaloes.
Brandon Ramirez, San Joaquin Memorial SS/RB
Ramirez helped lead the Panthers to a 20-0 victory against Clovis North with nine tackles (seven solo), a sack, and 101 rushing yards.
Luke Weaver, East Union QB
Weaver led the Lancers to a 41-26 win against Ripon with 279 yards and two touchdowns passing on 15-23 completion, plus 88 rushing yards and four rushing TDs.
Will Nutcher, Hughson RB
Nutcher had team-highs of 128 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 33 receiving yards, and one touchdown catch in a 49-0 blowout against Sierra.
