OCEANSIDE — After a back and forth first quarter that saw Torrey Pines lead 12-7, the Falcons were able to win the second quarter 22-8 and grab a 19-point halftime lead that proved to be too much for El Camino to overcome in the Coastal League opener for both teams. El Camino fought back in the fourth quarter and briefly got the deficit into single digits before falling to the Falcons, 60-50. Torrey Pines, who improved their record to 15-0, were led by senior guard Nick Herrmann’s 14 points. El Camino senior guard Tyson Robinson led all scorers with 16 points.
