Who were the top 10 rebounders from the Los Angeles area in Division I men’s college basketball in 2019-2020?

Scorebook Live has teamed up with former Gardena Serra star and current pro basketball player Pooh Jeter to bring Southern California hoops fans the statistical leaders in Division I men’s college basketball that went to high school in the Los Angeles area.

Here is a list of the top 10 rebounders in D-I hoops during the 2019-2020 season from the greater Los Angeles area.

10. Eli Scott – Lolyola Marymount – Jr. – G/F

Scott averaged 6.7 rebounds per game for LMU this year. He led the Lions in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes this year. LMU finished the year 11-21. Scott attended Chino Hills High School where he won a National Title in 2016.

9. Malik Fitts – Saint Mary’s – Jr. – F

Fitts averaged 7.1 boards per game. He helped lead St. Mary’s to a 26-8 record. Fitts attended Damien High in La Verne. He declared for the NBA Draft last month.

8. Kameron Edwards – Pepperdine – Sr. – F

Edwards averaged 7.4 boards per game at Pepperdine this year. The Waves went 16-16 this year. Edwards attended Etiwanda. He has a shot at being a second round pick in this year’s NBA Draft.

7. Kessler Edwards – Pepperdine – So. – F

Edwards hauled in 7.5 rebounds per game at Pepperdine this year. He also attended Etiwanda.

6. Jimbo Lull – University of San Francisco – Sr. – C

Lull averaged 7.6 rebounds per game helping the Dons to a 22-12 record. He played high school basketball at Rolling Hills Prep.

5. Myles Johnson – Rutgers – So. – C

Johnson averaged 7.9 rebounds per game this season for Rutgers. He also led the Big 10 in field goal percentage posting a 60.2 percent mark. The Scarlet Knights went 20-11 this year. Johnson attended Long Beach Poly.

4. Isaiah White – Utah Valley – Jr. – G

White averaged 8.4 boards per game this season for Utah Valley. The Wolverines went 11-19. White attended Damien.

3. Onyeka Okongwu – USC – Fr. – F

Okongwu averaged 8.6 rebounds for a USC team that went 22-9. He entered this year’s NBA Draft where he is expected to be a lottery pick. He attended Chino Hills and won a national championship with Eli Scott in 2016.

2. Roderick “RJ” Williams – Boise State – Sr. – F

Williams averaged 8.9 rebounds per game for Boise State this season. The Broncos went 20-12. Williams attended Price. He’s hoping to be selected in the upcoming NBA Draft.

1. Kim Aiken – Eastern Washington – So. – F

Aiken averaged 9.5 boards per game for an Eastern Washington team that went 23-8. He graduated from East Valley High School in Redlands, California.
