9-4, (1-3) #4 in South Coast League, Division 3 semifinalists (lost 46-42 to Cajon)

Sean Curtis is entering his first season as Capistrano Valley’s head coach. He was previously an assistant at JSerra under Pat Harlow.

Jack Haley QB, WR Sr. 6-0 170

Dartanyon Moussiaux QB Jr.

DeAndre LeNard RB, MLB Sr. 5-10 200

Jake Muller WR, TE Sr. 6-6

Jacob Pontius LB, Jr.

Daniel Gutierrez Jr. LB, Sr. 6-1 216

Patrick Griu DE, RB Sr. 6-1 190

Jack Haley, WR

All-CIF selection last year. Amassed 776 receiving yards in 2018 and caught 16 TD passes. Committed to Oregon for baseball.

Daniel Gutierrez Jr. LB

67 tackles and 12 tackles for loss last season.

Patrick Griu, DE

Posted 16 sacks last season.

Just like it did last year, the South Coast League will prepare Capo Valley for the playoffs. It’s tough.

The Cougars have a bunch of multi-sport athletes on the roster and they compete in every game for coach Bucher.

CV returns some nice pieces on the defensive side and Haley is a stud wide-out. He was the backup QB last season to Nathan Manning as well. Expect Dartanyon Moussiaux to take the reins under center this season with Haley backing him up.
