HOOVER - Hoover's Ahman Ellington led all scorers with 35 points as the Buccaneers beat Thompson Warriors 62-53 in a game.

Ellington's points came on 6 field goals, 4 three pointers and 11 of 12 free throws during the game.

Grant Hopkins added 12. Thompson fell to 10-4 overall while Hoover improved their record to 15-6.

Thompson's next game is scheduled to be played at Paideia High School on Saturday Jan. 12 at 5:30pm versus Paideia. Hoover will host Tuscaloosa County on Tuesday Jan. 15 at 7:30pm.
