Alma girls basketball G Presli Taylor voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Alma girls basketball guard Presli Taylor for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 6-12!

The junior made a school-record 8 three-pointers and scored 27 points in a 71-29 victory over West Rusk, Texas.

Taylor received 28.78% of the vote, beating out Fordyce’s Tre Merritt who finished second with 19.75%. Fordyce’s Brent Sledge finished third with 17.66% and McCrory’s Landon Headley finished fourth with 15.52%. There were over 70,000 votes tallied this week!

The senior running back rushed for 157 yards and 20 carries and caught 3 passes for 35 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 47-25 victory over Prescott in the Class 3A state championship game.

Kade Smith, Harding Academy football

The junior quarterback and Arkansas baseball commit was named MVP of the Class 3A state championship. In a 47-25 victory, he rushed for 115 yards and 3 touchdowns and completed 9-of-15 passes for 113 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Kyle Ferrie, Harding Academy football

The junior kicker/punter made 5 extra points, 2 field goals of 27 and 36 yards, averaged 39 yards per punt and had seven touchbacks in the Wildcats 47-25 victory over Prescott in the Class 3A state championship game.

Sam Butterfield, Harding Academy football

The senior defensive lineman had 4 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble in the Wildcats 47-25 victory over Prescott in the Class 3A state championship game.

Cooper Welch, Harding Academy football

The senior defensive lineman had 6 tackles and recovered 2 fumbles in the Wildcats 47-25 victory over Prescott in the Class 3A state championship game.

Cameron Wallace, Little Rock Parkview boys basketball

The senior forward scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in a 70-55 victory over Pine Bluff. Had had 10 points and 7 rebounds in a 63-57 victory over Little Rock Central. He had 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 54-53 overtime victory over Pine Bluff in the Charles Ripley Holiday Tournament.

Jacaylon Zachery, Prescott football

The senior wide receiver rushed for 165 yards on 10 carries and had touchdowns of 64 and 60 yards in the Curley Wolves 47-25 loss to Harding Academy in the Class 3A state championship game.

Carston Poole, Prescott football

The junior quarterback completed 11-of-20 passes for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 47-25 loss to Harding Academy in the Class 3A state championship game.

Travion Dickens, Prescott football

The junior linebacker had 10 tackles in the Curley Wolves’ 47-25 loss to Harding Academy in the Class 3A state championship game.

Jason Patrick, Prescott football

The senior linebacker had 10 tackles in the Curley Wolves’ 47-25 loss to Harding Academy in the Class 3A state championship game.

Yonni Releford, Fort Smith Northside girls basketball

The senior forward led the Lady Bears with 28 points in a 60-54 victory over El Reno, Okla. in the Tournament of Champions. She had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 48-44 victory over Greenwood in the Tournament of Champions final.

Daryl Searcy, Joe T. Robinson football

The senior running back rushed for 120 yards on 21 carries and completed a 23-yard pass in the Senators’ 42-14 victory over Shiloh Christian in the Class 4A state championship game.

Jack Cleveland, Joe T. Robinson football

The senior quarterback was named MVP of the Class 4A state championship game after completing 12-of-21 passes for 233 yards with 3 touchdowns in a 42-14 victory over Shiloh Christian.

Zach Wofford, Joe T. Robinson football

The senior wide receiver caught 6 passes for 94 yards and had an interception in a 42-14 victory over Shiloh Christian I the Class 4A state championship game.

Kirby Owens, Joe T. Robinson football

The senior wide receiver and defensive back caught 3 passes for 36 yards and 1 touchdown and had 7 tackles in the Senators’ 42-14 victory over Shiloh Christian in the Class 4A state championship game.

Micah Pennington, Joe T. Robinson football

The junior defensive lineman had 8 tackles in the Senators’ 42-14 victory over Shiloh Christian in the Class 4A state championship game.

Layne Taylor, Farmington boys basketball

Taylor scored 61 points in a 85-74 victory over Clarksville in the Farmington Cardinal Classic. Taylor had 14 points at the end of the first quarter, 30 at halftime and 45 after three quarters. Had made five of Farmington’s six three pointers in the first half. He also had 21 points in a 47-35 victory over Hot Springs Lakeside in the Farmington Cardinal Classic.

The senior wide receiver caught 4 passes for 93 yards in the Saints’ 42-14 loss to Joe T. Robinson in the Class 4A state championship game.

Kaden Henley, Shiloh Christian football

The senior linebacker had 13 tackles, 1 sack and 3 tackles for losses int he Saints’ 42-14 loss to Joe T. Robinson in the Class 4A state championship game.

Bo Williams, Shiloh Christian football

The sophomore linebacker had 7 tackles and scored 1 touchdown on a 1-yard run in the Saints’ 42-14 loss to Joe T. Robinson in the Class 4A state championship game.

Eli Wisdom, Shiloh Christian football

The junior quarterback completed 12-of-25 passes for 201 yards with 1 touchdown in the Saints’ 42-14 loss to Joe T. Robinson in the Class 4A state championship game.

Latreal Neal, McCrory football

The senior running back rushed for 105 yards on 18 carries and 1 touchdown in leading McCrory to a 34-7 victory over Fordyce in the Class 2A state championship game.

Reid Kennon, McCrory football

The senior running back rushed for 84 yards on 15 carries and scored 3 touchdowns in the Jaguars’ 34-7 victory over Fordyce in the Class 2A state championship game. He also had seven tackles on defense earning MVP honors.

Leevi Tucker, McCrory football

The freshman defensive back had a 32-yard interception return for a touchdown and had eight tackles in the the Jaguars’ 34-7 victory over Fordyce in the Class 2A state championship game.

Lathan Briley, McCrory football

The senior linebacker had 9 tackles including 1 for a loss in the Jaguars’ 34-7 victory over Fordyce in the Class 2A state championship game.

Landon Headley, McCrory football

The senior linebacker had 6 tackles, including 1.5 for losses in the Jaguars’ 34-7 victory over Fordyce in the Class 2A state championship game.

Alyssa Houston, Benton girls basketball

The junior forward scored 20 points and had 14 rebounds in a 62-=32 victory over Valley Springs in the Benton Classic. She had 24 point in a. 62-55 victory over Sheridan in the Benton Classic.

Tre Merritt, Fordyce football

The senior rushed for 73 yards and passed for 99 yards in the Redbugs’ 34-7 loss to McCrory in the Class 2A state championship game.

Jyrique Walker, Fordyce football

The senior scored the Redbugs only touchdown in the Class 2A state championship game, a 16-yard run in the second quarter in a 34-7 loss to McCrory.

Camilo Allen, Fordyce football

The junior led the Redbugs with 13 tackles and had 1 sack and 2 tackles for losses in a 34-7 loss to McCrory in the Class 2A state championship game.

Dakota Wimberley, Fordyce football

The junior had 10 tackles, including 1 for a loss in the Redbugs’ 34-7 loss to McCrory in the Class 2A state championship game.

Brent Sledge, Fordyce football

Jordan Blake, England girls basketball

Blake scored 20 points in a 47-20 victory over Hazen. She had 14 points and 6 rebounds in a 65-20 victory over Barton.

Mike Reddick, Dumas boys basketball

The junior guard soccer 28 points, had 11 steals and 3 assists in a 56-48 victory over Stuttgart. He scored 24 points, had 7 assists and 4 rebounds in a 44-41 victory over Lake Village.

Kiki Williamson, Mayflower girls basketball

The sophomore scored 27 points and had 8 rebounds in a 66-49 victory over Jessieville.
