Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona High School Athlete of the Week for April 19-25 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Leila Barmore, Valley Vista girls track: Barmore recorded a 37-0 in the triple jump, the second-best mark in Arizona this season.

Kayleigh Bowers, Willow Canyon softball: Bowers pitched a five-inning no-hitter as Willow Canyon beat Independence 25-0 on Tuesday.

Henry Brauckmiller, Millennium baseball: Brauckmiller pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts, leading Millennium to a 3-1 win over Shadow Ridge on Monday. The run was unearned.  

Matthew Camp, Perry boys track: Camp won the 1600 meters in a personal-best 4:28.61 at the 9th Annual Pioneer Invitational.

Teagan Carey, Chaparral baseball: Carey helped lead Chaparral to an 18-3 win over Mountain Ridge on Friday with a homer, a triple, a single and five RBIs.

Bridget Donahey, Xavier Prep softball: Donahey homered in an 11-2 win over Chandler on Tuesday, again in a 7-0 win over Perry on Wednesday and yet again in Friday’s 6-3 win over Sunnyslope.

Gabrielle Escontrias, Mountain Ridge softball: Tuesday, Escontrias homered and drove in three to help Mountain Ridge top Liberty 14-4. Wednesday, she had three hits in a 7-6 win over Centennial.

Dominic Felix, Canyon del Oro baseball: Felix homered and drove in four Monday to lead Canyon del Oro to a 7-0 win over Tucson.

Antonio Gianni, Cactus Shadows baseball: Gianni homered three times, tripled, scored four runs and drove in five during Cactus Shadows’ 16-1 rout of Central on Wednesday.

Rusti Glenn, River Valley softball: Glenn had three hits (single, double, homer), three runs and three RBIs to lead the way for River Valley in Saturday’s 17-0 rout of Lee Williams. She also had three RBIs in Thursday’s 28-0 win against Arizona Lutheran Academy.

Mason Hickel, Desert Vista boys track: Hickel recorded a 63-2 in the shot put, a personal best and the top mark in Arizona this season. He’s No. 2 in the discus at 177-10.

Gloriah Hussey, Cactus Shadows girls track: Hussey won the high jump (5-4) and long jump (18-1) at the Pioneer Invitational.

Charlie Kimball, Centennial baseball: Kimball pitched a five-inning no-hitter and struck out six Monday in Centennial’s 10-0 win over Peoria.

Riley Lauffer, Sandra Day O’Connor softball: Lauffer was the winning pitcher and hit a home run in Tuesday’s 18-4 rout of Boulder Creek.

Joy Moorer, North Canyon girls track: Moorer’s 56.61 in the 400 meters at the BMHS Bears Invitational is the fourth-best mark in the state in that event this season. She also won the 100 hurdles in 14.73.

Cody Mowers, Higley baseball: Mowers was 4 for 4 with four runs and six RBIs in Higley’s 15-5 win over Campo Verde on Tuesday. Two of his hits were triples.

Alanie Ornelas, Cibola softball: Ornelas homered, doubled and drove in five Thursday as Cibola defeated Kofa 15-2. In the circle, she allowed three hits and two unearned runs in five innings.

Erubiel Ortiz, Alhambra baseball: Ortiz had five hits — including three home runs and a double — and nine RBIs in Alhambra’s 30-0 rout of Maryvale on Friday.

Sam Pitts, Buena baseball: Pitts had two hits and three RBIs and was the winning pitcher (five strikeouts in four innings) as Buena defeated Rincon/University 16-3 on Thursday. Earlier in the week, he recorded a save in a 5-3 win over Nogales.

Rebekah Rice, Payson softball: Rice had three hits and five RBIs in Payson’s 19-0 rout of Alchesay on Friday.

Alfredo Ruiz, Cesar Chavez baseball: Ruiz homered, drove in two and scored twice in Cesar Chavez’s 12-6 win over North on Friday. He also had two RBIs in Tuesday’s 14-7 loss to Browne.

Paige Salazar, Queen Creek softball: Salazar fired a four-hit shutout Tuesday to lead Queen Creek to a 5-0 win over Corona del Sol.

Dorae Scott Jr., Maricopa boys track: Scott won the 100 (11.72) and 200 (23.60) at the 88th Annual Winslow Invitational.  

Arissa Staten, Sunnyslope softball: Staten, a freshman, had two home runs and five RBIs in Sunnyslope’s 17-0 rout of Moon Valley on Monday.

Damien Tipton, Betty H. Fairfax baseball: Tipton had four hits, three runs and three RBIs in Fairfax’s 23-0 rout of Metro Tech on Friday — and pitched a five-inning perfect game with 13 strikeouts. Earlier in the week, he homered in a 17-1 win over Carl Hayden.

Zoey Ulberg, Snowflake girls track: Ulberg won the shot put with a personal-best mark of 34-3 at the Pioneer Invitational.

Trey Weidner, Canyon del Oro baseball: Weidner fired a three-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts to pitch Canyon del Oro to a 7-0 victory against Tucson on Monday.

Brianna Williams, Chandler softball: Williams had a 13-strikeouts shutout and drove in a run during Chandler’s 2-0 win over Dobson on Wednesday. She drove in both of her team’s runs in Tuesday’s 11-2 loss to Xavier Prep.

Preston Wilson, St. Johns boys track: Wilson’s 6-9 in the high jump at the Winslow Invitational is Arizona’s best mark in that event this season.

Alexa Wohr, Desert Vista softball: Wohr homered and drove in three to help Desert Vista beat Westwood 18-3 on Thursday. She did it again the next night — a homer and three RBIs in an 8-0 win against Corona del Sol.
