Here are SBLive’s Top 20 Arizona high school football rankings for the week of Nov. 23.

Our statewide football rankings, which span all conferences, are released every Monday throughout the 2020 high school football season. The rankings are compiled by SBLive reporter Connor Morrissette.

1. Chandler (7-0)

Last week’s ranking: No. 1

The Wolves beat No. 2 Hamilton 34-14. Chandler led 17-14 at halftime and scored 17 unanswered points in the second half. The Wolves are the No. 1 seed in the Open Division playoffs. (Photos from Chandler’s win over Hamilton)

2. Hamilton (6-1)

Last week’s ranking: No. 2

Hamilton lost to No. 1 Chandler 34-14. Junior quarterback Nicco Marchiol left the game with an injury. The Huskies are the No. 2 seed in the Open Division playoffs. (Photos from Hamilton’s loss to Chandler)

3. Saguaro (5-1)

Last week’s ranking: No. 3

Saguaro beat Gilbert 57-0. The Sabercats are the No. 3 seed in the Open Division playoffs.

4. Centennial (6-2)

Last week’s ranking: No. 4

Centennial beat Liberty 34-24. Demari Washington’s interception clinched the win and the Open Division fourth seed for the Coyotes.

5. Liberty (5-3)

Last week’s ranking: No. 5

The Lions lost to No. 4 Centennial 34-24. Turnovers cost Liberty as quarterback Brock Mast was intercepted twice in the loss. The good news for the Lions is they’ll get a rematch with Centennial in the first round of the Open Division playoffs.

6. Queen Creek (6-2)

Last week’s ranking: No. 6

Queen Creek beat Desert Ridge 27-17. The Bulldogs are the No. 2 seed in the 6A playoffs.

7. Corona del Sol (8-0)

Last week’s ranking: No. 7

The Aztecs beat Mountain View 28-7. They’re the No. 7 seed in the Open Division playoffs.

8. Desert Edge (8-0)

Last week’s ranking: No. 8

Desert Edge beat Verrado 48-18. The Scorpions not only won, they did so in style. Check out the incredible interception by Cliffonte McDowell below. Desert Edge earned the No. 8 seed in the Open Division playoffs.

9. Salpointe Catholic (7-0)

Last week’s ranking: No. 9

Salpointe Catholic beat Desert Mountain 31-3. The Lancers are the No. 6 seed in the Open Division playoffs.

10. Chaparral (3-2)

Last week’s ranking: No. 10

Chaparral beat Pinnacle 52-10. The Firebirds had 286 yards of offense in the first half. They’re the No. 7 seed in the 6A playoffs.

11. Williams Field (5-3)

Last week’s ranking: No. 11

Williams Field beat Goldwater 41-0. The Black Hawks scheduled Goldwater on short notice because of a cancellation, but they still won handily. Williams Field did not qualify for the playoffs.

The Black Hawks beat No. 12 Casteel 31-28 on Oct. 23. Their three losses came to No. 6 Queen Creek, No. 4 Centennial and Red Mountain. Losing to Red Mountain ended up being a playoff-killing defeat.

12. Casteel (5-3)

Last week’s ranking: No. 12

Casteel beat Red Mountain 20-19. Dane Christensen hit Isaiah Newcombe for the winning score. Casteel is the No. 5 seed in the 6A playoffs.

13. Boulder Creek (7-1)

Last week’s ranking: No. 13

Boulder Creek beat Sunnyslope 35-3. The Jaguars were up 21-3 at halftime. They’re the No. 1 seed in the 6A playoffs.

14. Highland (5-3)

Last week’s ranking: No. 13

Highland beat Higley 33-22. Max Davis scored four touchdowns. The Hawks are the No. 4 seed in the 6A playoffs.

15. Campo Verde (4-2)

Last week’s ranking: 14

Campo Verde beat Maricopa 35-14. The Coyotes are the No. 5 seed in the 5A playoffs.

16. Ironwood (5-2)

Last week’s ranking: 15

Ironwood didn’t play last week. Two weeks ago, the Eagles beat Apollo 29-20. Ironwood is the No. 6 seed in the 5A playoffs.

17. Sunrise Mountain (6-2)

Last week’s ranking: No. 16

Sunrise Mountain beat Cactus Shadows 33-19. John Hart caught a two-point conversion in the win. The Mustangs are the No. 1 seed in the 5A playoffs.

18. Mesquite (5-1)

Last week’s ranking: 19

Mesquite is the No. 3 seed in the 4A playoffs. The Wildcats haven’t played for two weeks due to games being canceled because of COVID-19 concerns.

19. Casa Grande (6-1)

Last week’s ranking: NR

Casa Grande debuts this week after earning the No. 1 seed in the 4A playoffs.

20. Basha (6-2)

Last week’s rankings: NR

Basha has won six in a row. The Bears are the No. 6 seed in the 6A playoffs.

Dropped out: Sunnyslope and Pinnacle

Moved in: Casa Grande and Basha
